A very good afternoon to everyone who are reading my post right now. As usual, I am sharing this post to tell the readers about my experiences during the Sustainable Development class. Today, I would like to share about the Sustainable Development Field Work and Program Initiatives of IIUM as this is the topic for week 12 class of this semester. Sejahtera Concept is a key for IIUM to encourage the sustainable development either in or outside the university. IIUM plays a vital role to run the field work for sustainable development.

 IIUM is now working hard to improve the living conditions of Desa Sejahtera inhabitants. IIUM has set up the whole community transformation agenda around its area. The settlers' neighborhood of Desa Sejahtera is located near the IIUM Main Entrance. There are a lot of benefit of the strategic location for the Desa Sejahtera. One of it is it serves a platform for the students to perceive and to have a deep acknowledgement on the concepts, issues and challenges to run the initiatives by IIUM. 

What is the cause for the field works on sustainable development to happen? It starts with a group of students who own the same interests and then pursue for the chance to be involved in this sustainable works. In other hand, this sustainable works by IIUM also return the values to the participants whereby they have grasped them so that they can maintain themselves to keep involved in sustainable field work in the future. For example, they have shown their humanity towards the people who are in need around them. 

The example of activities that have been implemented by IIUM are assistance of online applications, donations and gotong-royong, free Quran recitation class and awareness campaign.
